Dennis Perkins will take us step-by-step through the process he uses to create these interesting wood sculptures. He’ll talk about the tools (including traditional and micro-plane rasps) he uses and the technique he developed for making spiral candlesticks.

This is a repeat from last fall’s Painting & Finishing seminar schedule. Don’t worry, it will be all new to the woodworking audience at the Thursday night seminars and a good way to wrap up the Winter/Spring 2010 session of seminars at the Woodsmith Store.

This is a back-to-the-basics seminar from Joel Hess. He’ll give pointers for cutting this joint by hand, using a table saw and drill press, and by using a mortising machine and tenoning jig on the table saw. Should be very informative.
