2008 Fall Woodworking, Painting & Gardening Seminars
If you haven’t received your seminar flyer in the mail, you’ll find the full schedule here: Seminars
There are a couple of changes from years past. First of all, the Painting and Faux Finishing seminars, which were usually on Saturday mornings, have been changed to Tuesday evenings. They start at 5:30 and the first seminar is
“Color Foundations — How Colors Create Emotion.” Ty Tetzlaff, from Benjamin Moore Paints will be the presenter.
Also, this fall’s woodworking seminars will be the first to center around the building of a project. A lot of you told me you enjoyed the two “Building a Bookcase” seminars presented by Phil Huber last spring. So for a change, we’ll be building a workbench during the seminars, but with a twist. Instead of focusing just on the building, each of the ten seminars will stand on its own, with valuable information, tips, and techniques that you’ll be able to use on any project you decide to build, not just workbench.
We’ll also have two bonus gardening seminars designed to help you wrap up the gardening and planting seasons. August Home staff gardener, Marcia Leeper, will host both seminars on Saturday morning, October 4th and 11th at 9:30am. Hope you can make it. We’re looking forward to an exciting seminar season.
